Community Initiative Contest: Your Naming Ideas Wanted!
In the spirit of OneLeMoyne, the College is
consistently seeking to identify and move on opportunities that can better
connect us - physically, programmatically and in other ways - to our immediate
neighborhood and the entire region. One current example is the development of
the Le Moyne plaza, a project that will not only benefit the campus community
but the surrounding neighborhood as well.
To help increase awareness and develop cohesion for
these initiatives, the College is seeking to come up with an overarching name
for community engagement activities that could be very different in nature, yet
all seek to achieve a common goal.
Similar initiatives have been branded by other institutions (i.e.
Syracuse University's Connective Corridor, Trinity College’s Learning Corridor, the University of Pennsylvania's West Philadelphia Initiative,
Clark University's University Park Partnership, and
University’s Partners for
Initiative Contest" invites the Le Moyne community's participation in finding a
meaningful and memorable name for current and future community
engagement/development projects. Please submit your creative ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org through Tuesday, Feb. 23.
All ideas are welcome and appreciated! Following review by the president’s
cabinet and others, the winning entry and person will be announced and
celebrated with a Le Moyne gift basket and a dinner gift certificate.
